Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) may be used to prevent low body levels (deficiency) of this vitamin. Ascorbic acid is needed to maintain the health of skin, cartilage, teeth, and blood vessels, and to promote proper bone growth. Most people who eat a normal diet do not need extra ascorbic acid.Vitamin C deficiency may occur in certain health conditions (e.g., poor nutrition, diet lacking citrus fruit/vegetables, alcoholism). Serious ascorbic acid deficiency may cause a condition called scurvy, resulting in bleeding problems, tooth loss, and heart problems, among others.Ascorbic acid is also used to help preserve the health of body cells (as an antioxidant). How to use Ascorbic Acid OralTake this vitamin by mouth, usually 1 to 2 times daily. If this vitamin is prescribed by your doctor, take exactly as directed. Take each dose with a full glass (8 ounces or 240 milliliters) of water. Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking a dose. If you are taking the chewable tablets or wafers, chew them thoroughly. If you are taking the delayed-release capsules or tablets, swallow them whole. Do not crush or chew them. If you are taking the lozenges, place the lozenge in your mouth and allow it to slowly dissolve. If you are taking the powder, mix it thoroughly in the proper amount of liquid and stir well. Drink all of the liquid immediately. Do not prepare a supply for future use. If you are using a liquid or powder form, carefully measure your dose using a medication-measuring device or spoon. Do not use a household spoon because you may not get the correct dose.Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.Use this vitamin regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time(s) each day.If your doctor has prescribed this product to treat a specific problem, tell him/her if your condition persists or worsens. Progesterone is a type of female hormone (progestin). This medication is similar to the progesterone that your body naturally makes and is given to replace the hormone when your body is not making enough of it. In women who are not pregnant and not going through menopause, this medication is used to restore normal menstrual periods that have stopped for several months (amenorrhea).Progesterone is also used as part of combination hormone replacement therapy with estrogens to reduce menopause symptoms (e.g., hot flashes). Progesterone is added to estrogen replacement therapy to reduce the risk of cancer of the uterus. This medication is not for use in children.Progesterone must not be used to test for pregnancy.OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug but that may be prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional. This drug may also be used to maintain pregnancy. How to use Prometrium OralRead the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using this drug and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Take this medication by mouth, usually once a day at bedtime or as directed by your doctor. If you have trouble swallowing the pills, take with a full glass of water while standing up. Follow the dosing schedule carefully. Ask your doctor if you have any questions. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.Inform your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens. What conditions does this medication treat?Prometrium Oral is used to treat the following:Prevention of Abnormal Growth in Cells of Uterine Lining, Absence of Menstrual Periods in Woman Who Has Had Them Clozapine is used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia (a mental illness that causes disturbed or unusual thinking, loss of interest in life, and strong or inappropriate emotions) in patients who have not been helped by other medications or who have tried to kill themselves and are likely to try to kill or harm themselves again. Clozapine is in a class of medications called atypical antipsychotics. It works by changing the activity of certain natural substances in the brain.Clozapine comes as a tablet and an orally disintegrating tablet (tablet that dissolves quickly in the mouth) to take by mouth. It is usually taken one to three times a day. Take clozapine at around the same time(s) every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take clozapine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Do not try to push the orally disintegrating tablet through the foil packaging. Instead, use dry hands to peel back the foil. Immediately take out the tablet and place it on your tongue. The tablet will quickly dissolve and can be swallowed with saliva. No water is needed to swallow disintegrating tablets.Clozapine controls schizophrenia but does not cure it. It may take several weeks or longer before you feel the full benefit of clozapine. Continue to take clozapine even if you feel well. Do not stop taking clozapine without talking to your doctor. Your doctor will probably want to decrease your dose gradually. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid hormone (glucocorticoid). It decreases your body's natural defensive response and reduces symptoms such as swelling and allergic-type reactions. This medication is used to treat conditions such as arthritis, blood/hormone/immune system disorders, allergic reactions, certain skin and eye conditions, breathing problems, and certain cancers. How to use Betamethasone OralTake this medication by mouth with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. Use a medication-measuring device to carefully measure the prescribed dose. Do not use a household spoon. If you take this medication once daily, take it in the morning before 9 AM. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time(s) each day. It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Follow the dosing schedule carefully, and take this medication exactly as prescribed.Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when this drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Melatonin is a hormone made by a part of the brain called the pineal (say: "pin-ee-all") gland. Melatonin may help our bodies know when it's time to go to sleep and when it's time to wake up. Melatonin supplements (in pill form) can also be taken. There are two types of melatonin that may be used in these pills: natural and synthetic (man-made). Natural melatonin is made from the pineal gland of animals. This form could be contaminated with a virus and is therefore not recommended. The synthetic form of melatonin does not carry this risk. If you are not sure if your melatonin is natural or synthetic, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking it.Melatonin can be used to treat insomnia (difficulty falling asleep and/or staying asleep). It can also be taken to prevent jet lag. Beyond that, there is little scientific evidence that melatonin has a role in promoting health or treating disease. Fluconazole is used to treat fungal infections, including yeast infections of the vagina, mouth, throat, esophagus (tube leading from the mouth to the stomach), abdomen (area between the chest and waist), lungs, blood, and other organs. Fluconazole is also used to treat meningitis (infection of the membranes covering the brain and spine) caused by fungus. Fluconazole is also used to prevent yeast infections in patients who are likely to become infected because they are being treated with chemotherapy or radiation therapy before a bone marrow transplant (replacement of unhealthy spongy tissue inside the bones with healthy tissue). Fluconazole is in a class of antifungals called triazoles. It works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection.Fluconazole comes as a tablet and a suspension (liquid) to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day. You may need to take only one dose of fluconazole, or you may need to take fluconazole for several weeks or longer. The length of your treatment depends on your condition and on how well you respond to fluconazole. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take fluconazole exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Your doctor may tell you to take a double dose of fluconazole on the first day of your treatment. Follow these directions carefully.Shake the liquid well before each use to mix the medication evenly.Continue to take fluconazole until your doctor tells you that you should stop, even if you feel better. Do not stop taking fluconazole without talking to your doctor. If you stop taking fluconazole too soon, your infection may come back after a short time. Fluconazole is also sometimes used to treat serious fungal infections that begin in the lungs and can spread through the body and fungal infections of the eye, prostate (a male reproductive organ), skin and nails. Fluconazole is also sometimes used to prevent fungal infections in people who are likely to become infected because they have human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or cancer or have had a transplant operation (surgery to remove an organ and replace it with a donor or artificial organ). Talk to your doctor about the possible risks of using this drug for your condition. Nasal desmopressin is used to control the symptoms of a certain type of diabetes insipidus ('water diabetes'; condition in which the body produces an abnormally large amount of urine). Nasal desmopressin is also used to control excessive thirst and the passage of an abnormally large amount of urine that may occur after a head injury or after certain types of surgery. One brand of desmopressin nasal spray (Stimate«) is used to stop bleeding in people who have certain bleeding disorders. Desmopressin is in a class of medications called hormones. It works by replacing vasopressin, a hormone that is normally produced in the body to help balance the amount of water and salt.Nasal desmopressin comes as a liquid that is administered into the nose through a rhinal tube (thin plastic tube that is placed in the nose to administer medication), and as a nasal spray. It is usually used one to three times a day. If you are using desmopressin nasal spray (Stimate) to treat bleeding problems, your doctor will tell you when you should use the medication. Try to use nasal desmopressin at around the same time(s) every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use nasal desmopressin exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor. If you are using desmopressin nasal spray (Stimate) to treat bleeding problems, you will receive your first dose in a doctor's office. Your doctor will order laboratory tests to see if this dose was effective before you begin to use the medication on your own.Your doctor may start you on a low dose of nasal desmopressin and gradually increase your dose. Follow these directions carefully. After you use nasal desmopressin for 6 months or longer, you may find that the medication does not work as well as it worked at the beginning of your treatment. Call your doctor if this happens. If you will be using the nasal spray, you should check the manufacturer's information to find out how many sprays your bottle contains. Keep track of the number of sprays you use, not including the priming sprays. Throw away the bottle after you use the stated number of sprays, even if it still contains some medication, because additional sprays might not contain a full dose of medication. Do not try to transfer the leftover medication to another bottle. This product is able to be sourced and supplied at excellent prices because of favourable cross border currency conversions. All products are authentic brand names and will include a product information insert in English.Medical Information:This medication is used to treat sudden diarrhea (including traveler's diarrhea). It works by slowing down the movement of the gut. This decreases the number of bowel movements and makes the stool less watery. Loperamide is also used to reduce the amount of discharge in patients who have undergone an ileostomy. It is also used to treat on-going diarrhea in people with inflammatory bowel disease.Loperamide treats only the symptoms, not the cause of the diarrhea (e.g., infection). Adults should not use more than 8 milligrams in 24 hours if self-treating, or 16 milligrams if under a doctor's direction.Diarrhea can cause a serious loss of body water (dehydration). Drink plenty of fluids and minerals (electrolytes) to replace what is lost. Tell your doctor immediately if you develop signs of dehydration (e.g., extreme thirst, decreased urination, muscle cramps, weakness, fainting). You may also need to change to a bland diet during this time to reduce irritation to your stomach/intestines. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more information.Tell your doctor if your diarrhea does not improve after 2 days, if your condition worsens, or if you develop new symptoms. If you develop blood in the stool, fever, or an uncomfortable fullness/swelling of the stomach/abdomen, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention. If you are taking this medication under your doctor's direction for ongoing diarrhea, tell your doctor if your diarrhea continues after 10 days of treatment. Rifampin eliminates bacteria that cause tuberculosis (TB). It is generally used with other drugs to treat tuberculosis or to eliminate Neisseria meningitidis (a bacteria) and to prevent you from giving these infections to others. However, rifampin is not used to treat Neisseria meningitidis infection.Rifampin comes as a capsule to take by mouth. It usually is taken once a day. You will probably be taking it for at least 3 months and possibly for up to 2 years. Rifampin works best on an empty stomach; take it 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after a meal. Mix the oral liquid in a drinking glass, not a plastic cup. You can mix it with apple or orange juice to make it taste better. Do not mix it with very cold or hot drinks. Stir well, and drink your medicine right away. Rinse the glass with more juice or water and drink that too, so you get all of the medicine. If a dose is missed:If you miss a dose or forget to use your medicine, use it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then to use the medicine and skip the missed dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up for a missed dose. Beclomethasone is used to prevent and reduce symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma. Controlling breathing problems may decrease time lost from work or school. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. It works directly in the lungs to make breathing easier by reducing the irritation and swelling of the airways. This medication must be used regularly to prevent breathing problems (attacks of wheezing/shortness of breath). It does not work immediately and should not be used to relieve an asthma attack. If an attack occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler as prescribed. Keep track of how often you need to use your quick-relief inhaler and inform your doctor. If your quick-relief inhaler does not seem to work as well, if you need to use more of your quick-relief inhaler than usual for 2 or more days in a row, or if you need to use more than one full canister of your quick-relief inhaler over a 2-month period, seek immediate medical attention.OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug but that may be prescribed by your health care professional. Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Acarbose is used for: Treating type 2 diabetes in adults whose diabetes cannot be managed with diet alone. This medicine may be used alone, in combination with other oral diabetes medicines, or with insulin. Acarbose delays the digestion of carbohydrates (forms of sugar) in the body. This decreases the amount of sugar that passes into the blood after a meal and prevents periods of hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Normally, your pancreas releases insulin into the blood stream after you eat. Insulin is used by all the cells in your body to help turn the food you eat into energy. This is done by using glucose (sugar) in the blood as quick energy. When you have type 2 diabetes, insulin is still produced by your pancreas, but the amount of insulin produced may not be enough or your body may not be using it properly and you may still need more. Because of this, the insulin is not able to lower your blood sugar properly and you will have too much sugar in your blood. Acarbose lowers your blood sugar by preventing the breakdown of starch into sugar. It may be used alone or in combination with another type of oral diabetes medicine called a sulfonylurea. Hydrocortisone is used to treat many conditions, such as joint problems, severe allergic reactions, certain skin or eye conditions, certain problems with the blood/hormones/immune system, a certain bowel problem (ulcerative colitis), swelling, and worsening multiple sclerosis.Hydrocortisone is a glucocorticoid hormone. It decreases your body's natural defensive response and reduces symptoms such as redness and swelling. How to use Hydrocortisone OralTake this medication by mouth with food or milk, usually three or four times daily or as directed by your doctor. The dosage and length of treatment are based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day. It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Follow the dosing schedule carefully, and take this medication exactly as prescribed.Cholestyramine and colestipol may decrease the absorption of this medication. If you are taking either of these drugs, separate them from this medication by at least 4 hours. If you take this medication once daily, take it in the morning before 9. If you are taking this medication every other day or on some other schedule besides a daily one, it may help to mark your calendar with a reminder. If you have been taking this medication for a long time, do not suddenly stop taking it without consulting your doctor. Your condition may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased to reduce symptoms such as extreme tiredness, weakness, weight loss, or nausea. Hydrocortisone Oral is used to treat the following:Infection caused by the Trichinae Parasite, Sarcoidosis, Diagnostic Test For Cushing's Syndrome, Chronic Malignant T-Cell Lymphoma of the Skin, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Type of Leukemia - Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, Increased Calcium in the Blood from Cancer, Thyroid Gland Inflammation, Condition caused by Excess Secretion of Male Hormones, Addison's Disease, Decreased Function of the Adrenal Gland, Inflammation of the Joints due to Gout, Disease in which Body has Immune Response Against Itself, Destruction of Red Blood Cells by Body's Own Antibodies, A Hereditary Progressive Anemia of Unknown Cause, Anemia From Too Few Young Red Blood Cells, Low Platelet Count and Bleeding of Unknown Cause, Decreased Platelets due to a Disease State or a Drug, Multiple Sclerosis, Fluid Accumulation in the Brain, Eye Disorder, Inflammation of the Heart with Rheumatic Fever, Inflammation of the Nose due to an Allergy, Vocal Cord Swelling, Asthma, Beryllium Poisoning, Inflammation of Lung from Inhaling Something Irritating, Infiltration of White Blood Cells into the Lungs, Crohn's Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Nephrotic Syndrome, Atopic Dermatitis, Contact Dermatitis, Chronic Inflammatory Skin Disease Marked by Blisters, Blistering Skin Diseases, Erythema Multiforme, Skin Rash with Sloughing, Psoriasis associated with Arthritis, Psoriasis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Inflammation of Skin and Muscles All Over the Body, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Any Disease Following Trauma Involving Joint Cartilage, Joint Capsule Membrane Inflammation of a Diseased Joint, Rheumatic Disease causing Pain & Stiffness in Backbone, Inflammation of the Tendon, Inflammation of the Covering of the Tendon, Inflammation of the Lining of a Joint, Inflammation of the Sac Surrounding the Joint - Bursitis, Muscle or Bone Disorder, Rash, Giant Hives, Allergic Reaction caused by a Drug, Body's Rejection of a Transplanted Organ, Allergic Reaction causing Serum Sickness Nedocromil sodium is a type of anti-inflammatory medicine that is not a corticosteroid. It prevents tissues becoming inflamed when an allergic reaction occurs. It is not fully understood how nedocromil prevents inflammation, but it is thought to work by preventing the release of inflammatory chemicals from cells called mast cells. Mast cells are cells in the immune system that become sensitised in response to foreign particles, or allergens. When this happens, they release chemicals, including histamine, that go on to cause inflammation as part of the bodyÆs allergic response. Allergic inflammation in the lungs is one of the causes of asthma. It causes mucus production and narrows the airways, making it difficult to breathe. As nedocromil reduces the inflammation in the lungs, it makes it easier to breathe and helps prevent asthma attacks. It should be used regularly, even when you have no asthmatic symptoms, to reduce the inflammation in the lungs.Nedocromil can also be useful for preventing shortness of breath caused by exercise. You should check with your doctor before using it for this purpose though, as if exercise brings on wheezing or shortness of breath it may mean that your asthma is getting worse or is not very well controlled. If so, your doctor may need to prescribe you another medicine.Tilade CFC-free inhaler is a device that is used to inhale the nedocromil. Inhaling the medicine allows it to act directly in the lungs where it is needed most. It also reduces the potential for side effects occurring in other parts of the body, as the amount absorbed into the blood through the lungs is lower than if it is taken by mouth.Used for Asthma
